Neoseiulus Californicus – SPIDERMITE PREDATORS 100x Slow Release Satchet
Type: Predatory Mite
Used for the prevention, control & management of various mites. These 0.5 mm. mites are noted for their ability to actively hunt in conditions where prey is few & far between. This mite has also made a bit of a name for itself by being able to deal with some of the nearly microscopic species, like Broad Mites, Cyclamen Mites & Tomato Russet Mites.
How It Works: Feeds on mites in the family Tetranychidae, including the common Two-Spotted Mite, Tetranychus Urticae, & the Carmine Mite, Tetranychus Cinnabarinus. Total development time at 21°C / 69.8°F is nearly ten days, while at 30°C / 86°F development time is reduced to five days. These temperatures align with the temperatures at which their principal prey, the Two-Spotted Spider Mite, develops. The Tetranychus Urticae lifecycle is sixteen & seven days at these temperatures, respectively. Californicus is active within the temperature range of 13-35°C / 54-95°F.
Species controlled: Spider Mites, Broad Mites, Cyclamen Mites & Tomato Russet Mites.
